Jagodina City Information.
Jagodina is a city located south of Belgrade, beside the Belica River. The name ‘Jagodina’ is derived from the Serbian word for ‘strawberry’. Apparently they have everything ‘strawberry flavored’.
Some things you can do in Jagodina includes festivals, museums and just one movie theater. As well as zoos for the children, an artificial waterfall, an aqua park, and a vivo shopping park for the ladies. There are quite a bit of family tourism attractions to do here.
The Jagodina zoo is the third largest zoo in all of Serbia. It has over 250 different species of animals, many walking trails, ice cream shops, a few different types of restaurants shopping centers, and so on. It has animals like sea creatures, reptiles, monkeys to zebras, wild cats to wild birds, etc etc.
We once had an Iguana named Lucy, however, she always seemed to escape her cage somehow… No body knew why or how. She always went on a journey to the same old lady’s house over and over again, and she kept having to bring her back to us. The story of how it first happened is actually pretty funny…
The first time Lucy escaped from us was about a year ago. She was missing for about two days and we were worried sick to our stomachs that we would never see her again, she was every child’s favorite creature. We eventually got a call from an old lady named Margret. She had told us that she went to the washroom to run some water for a nice hot bath, and when she went to open the shower curtain, Lucy was just hanging out in her bathtub. The poor old lady nearly had a heart attack.
I don’t know what is it about that woman, but Lucy just loved her and kept showing up at her house every single week. Maybe it’s because Margret had a couple of fresh homemade baked strawberry pies that were always placed on the coffee table… (it was pretty low.. Margret said one pie, sometimes both, would always randomly disappear, which she knew it was time to look for Lucy and bring her back.)
Lucy isn’t with us anymore… She tried escaping from us again about five months ago, and when she went to cross the road to visit Margret, she was ran over by a tour bus.
To this day, no one still knows how Lucy got out of her cage… Maybe she flew?
My apologies for the writing above. We need to get around to discussing the health care system and whether the number of hospitals and clinical services is adequate for the region. I’m guessing that because of the close proximity of Belgrade, there is good secondary level care, but tertiary hospitals might be a little lacking.
